Social Saturday is a blast!

Every Saturday during the Summer, something truly special unfolds at Dalgety Bay Sailing Club: Social Saturday. Far more than just another day on the calendar, a weekly celebration of community, camaraderie, and the sheer joy of being by the water.

While the competitive spirit of racing burns bright at Dalgety Bay, Social Saturday offers a welcoming counterpoint, ensuring that the club remains a home for everyone, regardless of their sailing prowess. Mornings often begin with a relaxed buzz as members trickle in, maybe having a coffee in the clubhouse. Whether it's a casual pottering around boats, sharing tips on rigging, or simply catching up on the week's events, members can catch up.

Afternoons often see a gentle hum of activity. Perhaps a few dinghies will venture out for a leisurely sail, less about speed and more about enjoying the tranquility of the water. Families might gather, children splashing in the shallows watching windsurfers, kayakers and other swimmers. For those less inclined to get their feet wet, there's always a seat on the decking, perfect for watching activity on the water and the occasional passing yacht, cruise liner or coaster!
